Due to Covid-19 Buttercrunch Farm is providing a NO-CONTACT delivery service.
We will be continuing our online ordering program for the foreseeable future. We make deliveries every Tuesday, all orders placed after MIDNIGHT the preceding Monday will carry over to the following week. We update inventory for the next week on Wednesdays. With more people going back to work and us doing NO-CONTACT delivery, we suggest leaving a cooler by your door that we will place greens in. These should be fine with a small ice pack if you can’t get to them until after work. THANK YOU for supporting your local farmer. We hope you enjoy our greens.
Buttercrunch Farm is an aquaponics farm in the Vail Valley, located off Brush Creek road in Eagle. The farm is home to a 3,000 sqft greenhouse and 1,500 sqft fish house. Our greenhouse allows us to grow our leafy greens year round.
Our Beginning
My husband Robert Anthony and I decided it was time to kick our traditional lives to the curb and start a farm. Robert has a background in culinary and I entrepreneurship. It is because of our passion for healthy organic food that we landed on aquaponics. After living in the Vail Valley for 6 years it was hard for us to imagine living anywhere else so we set out to find a spot in Eagle or Gypsum. We knew the weather was going to be a challenge but we decided to go for it. We found the farm we where looking for.
